Multibeam and Towed Camera Survey

Geo Oceans was commissioned to undertake a multibeam echosounder and towed camera survey to capture high resolution bathymetry and geo-referenced video and still imagery of a seawall and adjacent seabed in the North West of Western Australia.

An area of approximately 1.5 km2  was surveyed in collaboration with Gardline Marine Sciences with a Norbit iWMBS shallow water multibeam system. In addition to the bathymetric data, nine towed camera transects were undertake to acquire ground-truthing imagery of the substrate and seabed features within the survey area.

The scope, including the provision of data and summary reports was delivered successfully within budget and with no HSE incidents.
