Coral Baseline Survey for OBC Seismic Operations - Brunei Shell Petroleum

Geo Oceans was engaged to conduct a coral survey in the Champion Field, Offshore Brunei. The survey assessed the condition of the coral in the field prior to seismic investigations.

The GO Visions  towed camera system was used to collect geo-referenced video, still imagery and data of coral habitats. The project acquired 20,567 points of qualitative habitat data and 7,612 still images across 44 transects over 4 days.

This data was processed in real-time using the GO Visions TM image analysis software to create habitat maps on-the-fly. The images were further processed post-field to quantify the condition of the coral habitats for future comparisons.
