Ocean Bottom Cable Seismic Survey – Seabed Survey

Geo Oceans was commissioned to undertake a towed camera survey to capture high resolution, geo-referenced video and still images of the seabed within a proposed Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) seismic survey area and proposed pipeline route in Malaysia.

The survey consisted of 148 towed video transects with a semi-quantitative assessment of key habitat and physical seabed attributes undertaken in the field in real-time.

Approximately 15,000 high resolution, geo-referenced still images as well as 148 videos were delivered to the client for their subsequent analysis and use in their environmental impact assessment.
