Oil Platform Marine Growth Assessment and Predictions

Geo Oceans was engaged to conduct a marine growth assessment on a Western Australian oil production platform.

The assessment supported a life extension campaign with the operator seeking extension approval from Lloyds Register to operate the facility over a longer period. ROV inspection data sets spanning back nine years were analysed and reported on the determine marine growth profile across the structure at the time of each inspection. Working with one of the industries leading marine growth experts, Geo Oceans then used that data to predict marine growth profiles on the structure for future periods.

Due to an operational requirement the operator required a rapid turnaround for the data processing and reporting, which Geo Oceans was able to achieve on time and within budget
