ROV Pipeline Inspection - Wave Energy

Geo Oceans was engaged by Carnegie Wave Energy to perform pre and post construction ROV pipeline inspections for the Perth wave energy project (PWEP) off Garden Island in Western Australia.

The ROV survey captured video, still images, positioning survey data and marine habitat data of the PWEP development area.

An engineer attended the survey and instructed the ROV on inspection of particular features. The survey locations included a 10m wide buffer area surrounding the pipeline alignment, three wave energy systems (CETO units) foundations and other areas of interest that were identified from existing bathymetry data. Benthic environmental data was also captured and processed using the GO Visions™ software system to satisfy several environmental survey requirements for the project.
