On Friday 16th October, Geo Oceans won the Australian Subsea “Company of the Year” and “Innovation and Technology” awards. On the night, the Group was heavily represented with finalists in five of the six categories, with a total of six nominations for the group with Sonomatic and Blue Ocean also up for awards. The Craig Black Award for Innovation and Technology was hotly contested with both Sonomatic and Geo Oceans as finalists.
The Company of the Year award to Geo Oceans came as a complete surprise as we were up against Australia second largest Oil and Gas producer ‘Santos’. It was a special milestone and a special night for the company as we are also celebrating our 10th year anniversary.
Our application for the awards (submitted by Operations Manager, Nick Veitch) reflected an honest and diverse justification for such awards covering all aspects of the business including the Vertech Group collective technological capabilities, global footprint and the support structure from the board to logistics. These awards are a tribute to the entire global Group as we lead the industry in disruptive technologies and we should all be very proud. It is also a tribute to the strong partnerships we embrace with our clients, regulators, suppliers and contractors – please pass on this award to our partners.
We are moving into an exciting time with the future release of new technologies to the market and we have what it takes to build on these successes. But before we go any further let’s celebrate this milestone. Thanks to all who helped make this happen. Happy 10th Birthday Geo Oceans!
